Gibbs & Olson provided planning, funding assistance, design, permit assistance, and construction phase services for a new sanitary sewer collection system that serves the Illahee-Oyehut area north of the City of Ocean Shores. The new system eliminated 115 failing systems and included installing 10,000 feet of 2 to 6 inch HDPE force main; 13,000 feet of 6 to 8 inch gravity PVC sewer main; pressure service lines and side sewers; 13 grinder pumps and related controls; 12 concrete pump station vaults and duplex grinder pump systems; electrical conduits and connecting new side sewers to building sewers and abandoning existing onsite sewage tanks. The total project cost was $3.8 million which was mostly funded through Ecology grants and loans. The project was substantially completed in February 2017.
