Working with Gibbs & Olson feels like working with a real partner who is an extension of my own office and I appreciate that we can have combinations of short easy conversations or in-depth complex ones.  When we have worked with, or presented to, our elected officials or the general public, their ability to communicate clearly always impresses me and enables us to achieve our objectives.

All too often, engineers design and build treatment plants without a lot of input from the people that have to work in them. As a result, the end products can be far from efficient and difficult to operate and maintain. Gibbs & Olson has set a new standard for city involvement and operator input in designing a new treatment plant. I commend them for their efforts to make this project truly a team effort.

It is refreshing to work with a motivated, knowledgeable, and professional team like Gibbs & Olson. Your team not only helped elevate my team’s expectations, but also helped us implement some new items that have now become standard specifications for Builders FirstSource on other projects. This has helped me provide our manufacturing teams with better quality and longer lasting facilities as a value‐add to our organization. Please do not hesitate to use my name as a reference if anyone would like to know more about the positive design/engineering experience we have had working with Gibbs & Olson. I will not hesitate to contact you for the next  manufacturing  project we develop in the Pacific Northwest and will look forward to working with you again.

Gibbs & Olson provided project specific engineering services for the City of Longview and our partner agencies during my 21 year career in southwest Washington. Gibbs & Olson demonstrated innovative thinking, provided quality master plans and infrastructure designs, and was responsive to our needs and schedules. We also used Gibbs & Olson’s hydrology and stormwater regulations expertise to ensure our projects complied with state of Washington stormwater NPDES permit requirements, and to evaluate private development impacts. If I had not retired, I would continue to use Gibbs & Olson’s services.

Our facility, located in Longview, Washington, required a civil engineer and surveyor to prepare an engineering report for the Department of Ecology and also design and assist with permitting of utility extensions to connect our systems to the City of Longview’s water and sewer systems. We chose Gibbs & Olson and found them to be very easy to work with; they were always quick to respond to our requests and questions, flexible, and practical. Their professionalism, experience, attention to detail, and knowledge of both local and state regulatory requirements were evident throughout the process. They definitely worked with our best interest in mind and provided sound advice through the entire process. I recommend Gibbs & Olson for your site and utility engineering and surveying needs.

The City of Castle Rock selected Gibbs & Olson in 2016 as our consultant to meet our on-call engineering needs. The City is very pleased with the responsiveness and professionalism of Gibbs & Olson and they have addressed a variety of our concerns.

Astoria initially selected Gibbs & Olson to provide engineering services for our 11th Street combined sewer separation project. The project limits included several known inactive and active landslide areas. The Gibbs & Olson team not only provided sound design solutions to address our pipeline and roadway stability concerns, but also provided regular and consistent communication throughout the project. In large part because of the working relationship we developed with Gibbs & Olson, we selected them again to provide engineering services for our 16th Street combined sewer separation project. The technical work and the communication provided for the 16th Street project was consistent with their 11th Street project delivery.

Gibbs & Olson’s team has been working on several projects for our Port. Their professionalism, dedication, work ethic, cost management and focus on details has been instrumental for the Port being successful on projects. Their expertise in stormwater as well as land survey has been a critical component to our projects and the Port could not be more satisfied with their products. We have used them for surveying several properties for site development and currently working with them on our Guild Road Industrial II Binding Site Plan. This is why Gibbs & Olson has consistently rose to the top for selection of projects from their proposals through the final project. They are truly a solid team.

We have worked with Gibbs & Olson since 1995. When our wastewater treatment plant was under an Administrative Order, Gibbs & Olson worked closely with us to carefully evaluate all the feasible alternatives. They took into account how the costs for a new wastewater treatment plant would impact our community and our citizens. The final solution was cost-effective and the resulting plant is affordable to maintain. We appreciate their efforts and approach to solutions that work for us and continue to use Gibbs & Olson for our projects.
